Product Description

Gorgeous Lapis Lazuli Sphere.  Diameter 6.5cm weighing427g. Wonderful depth of colour!

Found in various shades of blue and composed of many minerals, the blue colour is from Lazurite.  Calcite gives it the white flecks and the gold flecks are pyrite.  It can also comprise sodalite and mica among others. 
 

Primarily from Afghanistan such as this piece though also found in other areas such as Chile and Russia
